Yaoguo Chen and Jie Wu decided to make the journey as a pilgrimage to spiritual home in England of their Shanghai-built Maxus V80 van.
The couple, both aged 48, set off from Shanghai on July 1 and arrived in Birmingham on August 26.

Jie Wu said: "We quit our jobs to do this. I worked for an American company called Abbott and Yaoguo Chen was a press photographer for Shanghai Money Weekly.
"Our friends and family think we are crazy but we are very happy to have done it."
The Chinese-built vehicle has a direct link with Birmingham, based on the Maxus model line which at one time was produced at the LDV production plant in England's West Midlands.

Sadly for the couple, the former LDV site now lies derelict, bought as part of plans to build the proposed HS2 (High Speed 2) rail link between Birmingham and London.
But both said they were delighted to have made it to the city where the Maxus model started its life.
"We really wanted to come to Birmingham but are also keen to see other parts of England," added Jie Wu.

South Africa's first online auction of rhino horn - held this week amid outrage from conservationists - attracted fewer buyers than anticipated, lawyers for the organizer said Saturday.
John Hume, owner of the world's largest rhino farm, organized the controversial three-day selloff which ended on Friday. Hume ""has successfully concluded the world's first legal online auction of rhinoceros horn Air Jordans 13 For Sale ,"" his lawyers said in a statement, but gave no details.
""The auction yielded fewer bidders and fewer sales than anticipated,"" they added ""but the legal domestic trade has now been re-established and the road has been paved for future sales.""
But ""bidders were duly authorized to participate in the auction and were issued with legally required permits to participate,"" the lawyers said.
The auctioneers did not set any opening prices for bids, but all potential bidders had to pay a 100 Air Jordans 12 For Sale ,000 rand ($7,626) registration fee to gain access to the online auction.
The auction was delayed for two days after a legal challenge and protests from conservation groups arguing the sale would fuel poaching and undermine a 40-year global ban on the trade.

JERUSALEM， Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Rescue forces said Tuesday they pulled a fourth body from a multi-story underground car park that collapsed a day before in Israel's financial capital Tel Aviv.
The teams believe that other three missing construction workers are trapped underneath the rubbles. "The effort is ongoing，" a military spokesperson said in a statement.
Local media reported that the missing workers are Palestinian citizens of Israel and Palestinian residents of the West Bank.
Some 50，000 Palestinians have permits to work in Israel， and many others are entering the country without papers. Together they compose a substantial part of Israel's construction labor force.
Hundreds of firefighters， soldiers， police officers， and medical personnel have been struggling to retrieve survivors after the parking garage collapsed at midday Monday， injuring at least 23 construction workers.
The structure was still under construction at the time of the collapse.
Earlier on Tuesday， Luba Samri， a spokeswoman for the police， said a third body was extracted. The construction worker showed no signs of life when the rescuers finally reached him， about 24 hours after the collapse.
On Monday night， the teams retrieve the body of another worker， identified as a 28-year-old man from Ukraine. Another body， also found on Monday， has yet to be identified.
